The Havana story begins with pain, struggle and a stolen
childhood at the hands of violence. A child of abandonment, growing up
with a mother on drugs and a father in and out of jail, she was forced
to find her own way, raised by her grandmother in one of the local neighborhoods
of Southern California. Breaking through the fear, her music became her
lifeline; her sustaining force to get her through the tough times.
Her debut album L.I.F.E. -Living In Fearless
Emotion, is a story about finding herself. This safe portrayal
of musical expression was intentional to avoid the perception of looking
and acting like a victim. Yet, this album provided a window into her true
self and the essence of the pain in her soul. In her second album, Havana
is coming out of hiding, revealing her flesh with blended sounds of the
underground in the background of upbeat electronic, broken beat soul.

In Fearless Emotion (2005) Havana has sold over 10,000 copies of the album
(to date), over 6,000 digital downloads, and 4,000 copies of her debut
single "Shine". Since November 2004, she has graced stages with
Adriana Evans, Dwele, Platinum Pied Pipers, Raphael Saadiq, Slum Village,
and The Rebirth. In 2006 'Search In" from her L.I.F.E album was featured
on NBC Networks "Windfall" with over 10 million viewers tuned
in. She has also been a featured artist in BILLBOARD, BOUNCE (JAPAN),
MUSIC WEEK (UK), REMIX (JAPAN) ,URB and XLR8R. This singer/songwriter
